Some thoughts on the episode:

“The Gift” is probably the most exciting episode of Game of Thrones this season. So many developments, so many storylines getting to their boiling point, you can really tell we’re getting close to the end.
Sam saving Gilly with Ghost’s help had me cheering and showed us once again why we love Sam so much. He has evolved to the point he’s not hiding behind Jon Snow anymore. Even after being beaten down, he still gets up to protect the woman he loves.
As for Theon, any hope of redemption we had is officially gone. Now Sansa can pretty much only count on herself to make it out.
Has Melissandre pushed Stannis a little too far by asking him to kill his daughter in order to win? Me thinks so.
Tyrion and Daenerys have finally met!!! We’ve been waiting for this since the beginning of the season and it has finally happened! But more importantly, what happens next?
Finally, Cersei’s scheming came crashing down on her and she was imprisoned just like the Tyrells were before her. We all knew it would happen but for some reason, Cersei didn’t seem to realize she was creating her own fall by teaming up with the High Sparrow. However her final words, “Look at me, look at my face, it’s the last thing you’ll see before you die,” will most likely come true. Cersei won’t go down easy.
Can’t wait for next week’s episode.
