Fans of the popular HBO series “Game of Thrones” were treated to a mock evening of excess and debauchery this Valentines Day to get a taste of Westeros at a purposefully themed pop-up restaurant in London.
Elaborate food dishes such as suckling pig and ‘bone marrow creme brulee’ were served up and actors dressed up as “Game of Thrones”-themed characters providing entertainment and music.
Jamie Hazel, chef and co-founder of caterers The Wandering Chef, which created the banquet, said:
“We wanted to to celebrate sort of all of the excess and debauchery of the “Game of Thrones” world with a recreation of a meeting of the Small Council in King’s Landing, so we’ve tried to bring in all the sort of ideas of excess and luxury, a sort of insight in to how the rich and privileged in Westeros behaved behind closed doors.”
In a press release, HBO said:
“Throughout the evening, guests also sample the finest delicacies Westeros has to offer over multiple courses, accompanied by a carefully selected drinks menu of cocktails fit for a King.”
The restaurant, which ran from February 13th to 15th, marks the release of the fourth season of the series on DVD.
